common markdown features

you might be familiar with the concept of markdown. you are very intelligent, so I wouldn't be surprised if you already knew how to perform basic formatting already.

you have you get
*I'm italic* I'm italic
**I'm bold** I'm bold
***I'm bold and italic*** I'm bold and italic

anyway,

advanced markdown technology

this markdown is equipped with some strange (and useful) extra features as well.

you have you get

??? "I have a secret"

just kidding. I would never have secrets

I have a secret

just kidding. I would never have secrets

~~nope. it could never happen.~~ ^^it happened.^^ nope. it could never happen. it happened.

HTML

markdown is merely a thin façade between you and the pointy depths of HTML. all HTML tags are allowed, including those which steal the administrators' cookies.

that is a lie.

allowed HTML tags
  • <p>
  • <h1>, <h2>, <h3>, ...
  • <pre>
  • <del> and <ins>
  • <mark>
  • <img>
  • <marquee>
  • and
  • <table>, <thead>, <tbody>, <tr>, <th>, and <td>
  • <details> and <summary>
  • <hr>
  • <br>
  • <iframe> (be nice with this one)

custom tags

our innovative technological apiomatrix extends HTML with essential formatting features.

you have you get
<red>I lust for blood</red> I lust for blood
this is <mark>important</mark>. this is <markred>very important</markred>. this is important. this is very important.
<sitelen>mi sitelen+pona a</sitelen> mi sitelen+pona a
<pulsate>GEORGE</pulsate> GEORGE

for every HTML color, there is a tag named after that color, such as <red>, or <lightgoldenrodyellow>. additionally, it is possible to highlight text with a certain background color, using the <mark{color}> family of tags.

the <sitelen> tag renders toki pona text written in latin into a font which translates it to sitelen pona using ligatures. however, the sitelen pona font is set as a fallback on the site in general, so if you are using a UCSUR-based input method, it will function without any special markup.
