ok, hypothesis: the plane is being eaten by some sort of eldritch creature. randall's new book will be about applying real science to absurd hypothetical scenarios (ie "what to do if the plane you are on is attacked by some sort of eldritch creature"). it might be called "what to do" or something.
This does look like some of the older covers, like the original What If? cover with that dinosaur.

more than one reddit user is concerned about this because there's also a post on the subreddit lol
why would they think it had been hacked? tell them that they are wrong and that the uwu button is intentional
i was in a similar situation a few years ago. the first couple of weeks after quitting reddit were difficult but i did genuinely feel just generally better after that than i had previously. it is hard though.
