• i went caving and got a bit of iron and associated things.
• miscellaneous lighting/making area more habitable.
• i got water to our base via a very accursedly long route through a cave twice.
• farm.

minecraft rotating world

you are to play survival minecraft, version 1.21.5. your life depends on it. the lives of everyone you care about depend on it. it's critical.

what is this?

effectively, a world will be played in singleplayer and passed around, so that we may all play on this world asynchronously. anyone may take a turn at any time, so long as no-one else is.

advice

none of this is particularly rigid, but to facilitate our collaboration:

• at the very least, announce it when you start your turn in this thread (so people know a turn is being taken), and when you end it, you should post again and provide the world download after (see below).
• you may have your turn be as short as you want; 1 minute turns are as welcome as 1 hour turns. try to keep it below 1.5 hours as an upper limit.
• try not to perform extreme active sabotage. if accidents happen (i.e death, creeper explosion, whatever), then they happen and that's fine. if you're not trying to be a bad person, you're not violating this.
• to keep things fair, please refrain from cheats, mods, xray, item duplication glitches, using the seed externally, etc. (to be clear, things like 'TNT duplicators' are fine.)
• feel free to be as productive or unproductive as you want. there are no standards here and you don't need to follow anyone else's plans, just try to have fun.
• feel free to be bold, also. if you see something you think could be better, no need to ask; you can improve it.

technical details

the world is vanilla 1.21.5.

please upload an archive of the world folder (found in .minecraft/saves) when you're done (i don't mind where so long as the next person can reasonably access it). it would be nice if you numbered it too. this is also where you'll extract the archive to obtain the world.

if you're on linux, you can achieve this by going into .minecraft/saves and running tar -czf rotation-n.tar.gz '(folder name)'.

if you're doing it some other way, please make sure just a single folder is at the top level of the archive to avoid any unarchival explosion incidents.

we can improve apionet vacuously by banning everyone.

it's no secret that many websites in GEORGE are down or do not include the widget. (thanks, zagura, vic, madeforlosers, baidicoot, merrybot, arcade, truttle1, forever, syntropy, kpwu and darylsun.) we, the council, have decided that this is to be changed.

if your site is chronically down or lacks the widget on the page that is linked to, and you haven't resolved this by 2024-05-02, it may be removed from GEORGE at our discretion.

at some point (probably halfway to the deadline or so) i'll also individually contact anyone who hasn't done this.

if you're one of these people and need some sort of special treatment or assistance, please contact us somehow.

if your site is up, but you're still listed here, you probably lack the widget. please look here for how to do that. (the iframe bit is the important part.)
